Cactus?

22 of 365

It may be only 10F here today but my manager's desk always has
an arrangement of beautiful flowers. Sometimes they contain
exotic flowers like today. Might this be a cactus?
I'm NOT going to touch it to see if it is indeed prickly!

NO - not a cactus - it's a Protea - gorgeous flowers - called sugarbushes in Sth Africa. Maybe a Protea lepidocarpodendron...

If it's a cactus, you'd best watch where you sit!

Hi Brenda your unknown flower is a Protea, they are South African plants but grow in any warm dry conditions. No it is not prickly ,quite furry to touch in fact.
