Cat Clock

PaD January - Black and White

Twenty One years ago I met a Cat Person. When she moved in with her
cats our house was enhanced with many cat things/cat photos/more cats.

She also loved clocks. This is one of my favorites. She died 3.5 years
ago, not long after this clock died. Yesterday I replaced the mechanism.

I like it for its animated tail! The smooth surface forced me to avoid
a flash thus I had a tripod set so high I needed a stool to extend my
six foot (182 cm) height. My Pentax is an older DSLR and it lacks
"Live Mode" to compose a photo via the LCD display.

Brenda, I have two of those classic cat clocks in the basement. A friend asked if I could fix them, the tail and eyes are supposed to move, but alas the motors are shot.

The tail makes me smile. My grandmother had a cat clock too. It's eyes moved left and right.

Eleanor also bought some Lion clocks, perhaps due to my first name.

Both are lovely shots, and both are a fine tribute to someone who sounds like a great lady. Anyone who loves cats is a good person in my books. VV
