It's a little sad, but think how delicious the roasted goose will taste. God gave us these creatures for food. We should be thankful. I only hope that the execution is as humane as possible.

What a terrific capture, you must have been right up to the window.
Great thinking for the scavenger hunt!

They look so still: not at all giddy geese.

To truly appreciate you food you need to look it in the eye. These will be much healthier than the hormone filled, plastic wrapped supermarket fare.

How dare you french eat geese, they are the best guard dogs in the world.
I was of the opinion that the german staple food is goose.

They are beautiful, and I have to say the image is sad (I'm glad I'm a lifelong vegetarian!). V

They look a little concerned

Have to agree with the sentiments below... -- although there is nothing better for roasting potatoes in than goose fat...!
Neatly taken, too... -- the back one looks like he/she's looking out of the cell window....

Such a wonderful capture Chris! Tis a shame that they're not long for this world.... :(
