My reasoning for this posting:
It is out of the ordinary to be forbidden to collect snails
and snails are very popular as a Christmas Dinner starter, at least in France!

I do love my snails......too bad you can't take them from here. Garlic and cheese on top are my way of eating them.

With foraging for wild foods all the rage, I suppose they have to try and protect some of it. I think snails are highly over rated :-)

I would love to see the reaction on the faces of most Anglais at Christmas lunch if you set before them a plate of snails to start the feast...... (Is that what the Haddens will enjoy.....?) Love Suey xxx
