Furrowed Field in Winter Slumber

The field is covered in a light dusting of snow but the
hard plowed rows are still visible. Skies at this time
of year are many times overcast as Lake Erie and Lake Ontario
(two of the Great Lakes) are still very warm compared to the
surrounding air. Once they have more ice covering (now none
due to our exceptionally warm winter), we will have more blue
skies. Today it started to snow just after I took this photo.

It does look bleak and cold, the patterns made by the plough and line of
trees make an interesting contrast with the sky.

Well done! Do you get "lake effect" snow?
laine03-Jan-2012 00:03
The furrows always make such interesting repeats...so do those bare trees.
Cindi Smith02-Jan-2012 23:37
I love the lines. Looks a bit cold there.
