Tornado IDS MM7074 was shot down 15 miles NW of Kuwait City during Operation Dessert Storm on January 18th, 1991. The crew was able to bail out, but was captured by Saddams armed forces and shown on TV, with several other ejected Nato pilots and navigators. MM7074 (without unit markings) looked healthy and fresh during the SHAPE Open Day at Chievres, June 1989.
