An awkward choice of lunch!

Sidmouth, Devon

I'm sure this crab would have made an excellent snack, if only the juvenile gull could have found a way to swallow it! But the crab's defence was resolute, turning this way and that, making it nigh on impossible for the gull to get it down!

I didn't have time to see the battle out, but methinks the brave little crab might have got away with it and lived to see another day!

Illumination compliment this wild life scene.
A learning curve for the gull as is the learning curve we face in life.
A very nice image, with nice detail , excellence within the borders of your presentation frame.

A great eye and serendipitous timing to get this shot Chris. Very sharp details and a fine background as well. "V"

So what are we left with here in an image where the light intensifies the gold and black of struggling claws and the mottled gray and white of soft-touch feathers? I know:
"When an irresistible force such as you, meets an old immovable object like me, You can bet just as sure as you live, Something's gotta give.....something's gotta give..."
