Of all the places I take photos at, "The By The Lake Park" in Wetaskiwin is my favorite spot... It has an overflow of wildlife, duck, geese, gull, loons, blue herons, shore birds, odd eagle, hawks, swans, snow geese, coyote, mink, weasels, porupines, whitetail deer, mule dear, moose, chickadees, downy woodpeckers and others. It is stocked with trout and some weighing up to 5 pounds. It is 2 miles from my home...It has a recreation area for all, and a children park. A natural 2km walking trail. Rental hall for functions and day use area. Probably considered the Jewel of Wetaskiwin. If I need to clear my mind I go there. Great spot to meet people and take photos...
