Keith noted that the stairway to the second floor, that you see in this photo, ending in the office was originally planned to pass
straight through an opening in the wall into the main room. However a header in the wall blocked the required opening. What you see
now is the work around. My observation is that the end result adds visual interest to the staircase and historical interest to the construction.

Under the staircase, directly behind Keith has been added, in this renovation, a stairway to the basement. It can be seen
