20091203 - Vortex

Playing the shapes game.

Ahhh - the hours you can spend playing with a stack of CD's - then when you realise you should've turned them over ages ago, it only takes 5 minutes to get the sort of shot you were after ;o)

I was wondering whether to clone out the CD-R in the bottom right... or just be honest!

The truth wil out...then be sucked into the vortex. Marvelous.

It's a truly amazing effect.

The lighting gives this a more dynamic and dramatic effect

How many circles are going down the drain?

Ohhh...really like this, feels like your being pulled down a psychedelic rabbit hole.

Very nice lighting and blend of colors. Nicely done ... leave the text on the edge... adds interests.

Great swooshy swirls of colors and nice depth too.
After reading the comments I would remove half the CD-R stuff. ;-)
LynnH04-Dec-2009 01:25
I would leave the CDR there because it reminds the viewer what this is and that make you look really clever! If it was just swirls, it would be pretty... but it would lose the coolness.
Cindi Smith04-Dec-2009 01:15
I really like it...I'd probably remove the CD stuff just because.....it really rocks!

Honesty is for suckers. OK, that doesn't make sense. I wasn't sure that this was a CD (or a stack of CDs) until I saw the CD-R. A part of me wants you to remove that to keep the viewer guessing. Either way, it's still a fantastic image. Smooth, clean, and colorful! This image is jumping off my screen.

Clone it out...make us guess :)) I actually thought it was the bottom om an olive oil bottle, one of those ones with the concave thingie bottoms, but then I read CD-R

Annyway, it's a great shot, fab light & colours !!

Looks like a warp hole to me....maybe it's time to visit another very colourful and creative dimension... :o))
Kathryn03-Dec-2009 21:24
I thought it was the bottom of a glass vase - great effect.
