This tree may not look dangerous to people who aren't used to gum trees (eucalyptus)
but they have the habit of dropping limbs when there's a change in weather, from hot to
cold and vice versa. This one has dropped quite a few, as you can see from this almost
full sized photo (I had to stand back a long way to get this much in). Dick has a chain
saw and cuts up fallen limbs, we have friends who welcome free timber for their
log fires and pizza ovens.
This tree is home to birds, particularly parrots & ducks and we've seen possums nesting
in the tree. Koalas like the safe branches for a daily sleep.
Thanks everyone for kindly commenting on my offerings this month, its been a fun
challenge!
