My current lens line-up, with apologies to Doug who posted a similar shot earlier. My excuse is that I could not help myself.
From left in the back:
Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D AF – Recently acquired and a current favorite. Awesome bokeh and super fast.
Tokina 12-24mm f/4 AT-X 124 AF Pro DX – My favorite lens for architecture, wide, fast auto focus and sharp. Built like a tank.
Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED IF DX VR AF-S – Nice walk about lens. Gets limited use for obvious reasons.
Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF VR AF-S – Used a lot for wildlife shots. Fast enough to shoot flying Pelicans and other moving objects.
Tamron 180mm f/3.5 Di LD (IF) Macro 1:1 SP AF – My long macro, heavy, super sharp with a very smooth bokeh. Purchased on recommendation of PBaser Tomasz Dziubinski.
Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 SP AF – My short macro. Sharp and light weight. Has had heavy use. Purchased on recommendation of PBaser Chad Ramsey. Will probably sell this one.
From left in front:
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D AF – Great fast portrait lens and at ca. $120 all Nikon users should have one, and if I was in charge they would. Available for Canon shooters too, so go out and buy one.
Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX Fisheye – What can I say? It doesn’t get wider than this. 180 degree field of vision and ultra-fast. I love this lens.
Nikkor 28mm f/2.8D AF – Newly acquired on recommendation of PBaser Doug Cruden. Destined for heavy use.
The photo was taken with a Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX kit lens, the only one of my lenses I rarely use. Frequently dismissed as cheap and flimsy it’s actually a very good lens.
Some of my books can be seen in the background, another obsession that we’ll skip over for now.
