Thick-headed fly (Physocephala sp.), a wasp mimic

Nortel woods. This small fly attacks wasps and bees, and so perhaps it is no surprise that it is a wasp mimic, lulling prey into a false sense of security? It closely resembles a Sphecid wasp.

He can get all the wasps he can.
I am not a wasp fan of them when they get too close.
