At first this struck me as something from the 60's freedom movements but of course the hands upreached are for partying not protesting these days. -tv

thanks x-ray (it used to called Roseland Ballroom - I was there several times too, during the Sat Night Fever era - it's just recently had another overhaul)
and Debi (come to NY. Period!)

Nice. The buildings look like architectural models.
I remember Roseland Ballroom.

Thank gawd for that this is the one so far a. Yes if you do experiment with burning in then set the burn in tool to shadows only (in the tool bar above in PS) I don't think you need to darken the art work just the arms & hands so they will be against the lighter backdrop. It will make the picy maybe less happy looking but I think it will really make a statement burnt in.

The anonymous was me and it still look great!

Don't worry it's all the same picture. No crop (never was). Sorry I confused you, but here's the one you were looking at. Mind you, you've still suggested some burning, etc. so it might not be the last version you'll see. Penny Street

Bugger me wot have you done!!! Just as I was posting the picy went all bright on me, shame on you this is a pale imitation of the one i was just looking at with the dark sky. Is this a different crop too? It might work wiv the new crop but bring the tones back of the one that was here a minute ago.
Mind you you have to decide how you want your picy to look a.

I didn't see the first picy but this looks very good to me. I luv the way you get an extra element in your picys like the arms & hands to raise this way above a normal looking up at buildings picy.
The raised arms adds some real magic to this. It looks great as it is but I would just try to burn in the arms a bit more which may make it look more dramatic. It may not too it's just something I would try before saying this is finished. I thought it would take you at least two more picys before you came up wiv something like this, your eye is really special megirl.

Okay, thanks anonymous. And Bruce - I gave this a go with the levels tool and here is what I came up with (not exactly what you said, but I think it's better).

I like this a lot! My only quibble is that the mid-ranges are so dark it almost gives the sense that the image is under exposed.

Very Nice, Penny. I really like this!
