Spigelia marilandica
Indian Pink (Macro)

Nashville, TN

Indian Pink is a erect perennial in the 2' range. It
has opposite broad lance-shaped leaves. The deep red
one-sided cymes are found at the end tip of the stems.
They can be found throughout Tennessee in bloom from
May to June in thickets and rich moist woodlands.
