Morning at the Lava Beds

Lava Beds National Monument, Tulelake, CA

This morning Bill and I drove down to the Lava Beds. We were trying to reach Medicine Lake, but had to turn back because of the snow. We did see some spring green in the desert landscape.

Turned back by snow - in May? Must be a late spring? I like the the gentle colours in this.
