Yesterday, I had to take my step-son down to Merrill, OR for a wildland fire training. It is about 6 miles from the border of California, so I spent the morning and early afternoon out on the 2 refuges and in Lava Beds National Monument. A huge snow storm was rolling in south of me around Mt. Shasta.
The wind was bringing in clouds across the refuges.
