Little Starrucca -ArtP
by ArtP

Railfan trip crossing the 'Little Starrucca' Viaduct
btw, this viaduct is a wood model in N scale (1:160) by Bob Gatland. The section of the diorama w the bridge is only 4' long. Mountains and sky are painted on the backdrop, which no doubt helped to give that 'painted' effect.

Nice job with this as a painting. It looked familiar!

Art, I saw the image in the original's gallery and can not see how you took that image and made it look so much like a painting ;0 I think you must have special sensor in that camera.

Now I feel foolish suggesting my pp techniques LOL

I like this a lot, Art. It has a real vintage painting feel to it.

no smudging, but I did some touchups with the clone brush

Very nice processing. This would look nice framed and hung on a wall. I'm guessing that you also used a smudge effect on the background mountains and sky.

Art, Thank you for the info.
I also us Noise Ninja with very little to no USM even if noise is not a problem and the smoothing effect can be stunning, very much like what you have achieved here.

The smoothing is from several applications of 'one step noise removal' in PSP, alternating with Focus Magic OOF correction... but there's another trick I'll divulge later... want to see if anyone catches it first.

Wow! It's like a watercolor!! I want to know how you did it, too. This is one to remember.

I like the smoothing effect. How did you do it?
