Storm Ridge

Horns of Alligin, Torridon, Scotland.

On a stormy July morning my wife and I climbed Tom Na Gruigach one of my favourite hill climbs and strode out across the roof tops of Torridon descending via the evocatively named Horns of Alligin. We had not had the best of weather and my camera had stayed deep inside my ruc sac until I noticed a search light scanning the hill tops that seemed to be heading our way. I emptied everything out and set up as rapidly as I've ever done taking this one shot as the light passed by with my wife striding out towards the first of the "Horns" you could cut the atmosphere with a knife the drama was tangible.

Aha, I recognised that place even from the thumbnail! Lovely shot, naturally enough.

Wow, that looks precarious, great shot.
Well done just for being there to get the shot.
