Snow seems such a rarity these days and snow followed by a dose of sunshine an even more unlikely event but on this occasion close to Strathglass that is precisely what I got. A simple river is utterly transformed as deep snow covers each and every rock forming a gorgeous smooth carpet of white mounds. Whilst direct sunlight ensures that the snow is blindingly white the shadow areas reflect the colour of the sky and deepen to frigid blue.
