Golden Pond

Golden Pond

Cove Bay, Hopeman, Moray, Scotland.

Ususally the sea is very calm in the summer months around Hopeman but on this occasion a north wind was blowing and the temperature had dropped markedly. The sun was almost coming into the lens and very careful shading was required to prevent lens flare. The resulting light does add tremendous drama and colour to the scene and the little pool nestles very prettily amongst the golden cobble stones.

NEW!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Another great job. I was just at the "original" golden pond (from the movie)a few weeks agoin New Hampshire and it does not look like this. The shore line is very different at Squam Lake ;-)

Excellent shot! Love the color and the stones in the still water.
