Stoney Twilight

Cove Bay, Hopeman, Moray.

Cove Bay near Hopeman draws me like a magnet particularly from May onwards when the sun sets far enough around to cast it's warm light over the pale stones that tumble ito the Moray Firth. The water is exceptionally clear and you can see the stones below the surface which adds to the 3-dimensional nature of the scenery. Perhaps best of all is the sweeping cove that leads to the setting sun, already below the horizon and staining some of the clouds blood red.
