Fairy Glen

Fairy Glen, Skye, Scotland

It isn't an especially well known location and it lacks the outright drama of the Quiraing but this strange little place is still fascinating with it's peculiar crop of 50 foot high conical hills and tiny boggy pools. It took me a good couple of hours to scout the area and find two or three viewpoints that for me stood out from the rest and this is the second and in my opinion the best of the views across the glen, this time with far better light.

Check out the new TRANSIENT LIGHT Photographic Holidays on my website together with a whole lot of other work at Transient Light.

The mounds are intense, could they be old burials?
