I rarely photograph in England as I prefer in general the wilder areas of the Scottish highlands and its 3 dimensional landscape but I must admit I enjoyed myself immensely as a guest on a photographic spree in Yorkshire.
A beautiful crisp but chilly morning spawned a glorious sunrise with soft light seeping under a thin layer of low cloud. The slight morning mist created some ethereal softness to the scene rendering delicate detail in the cliffs, town and quayside with the old abbey in stark silhouette.
