Prime Time Viewing

Loch Ba, Rannoch Moor, Scotland

Early Spring at the edge of Loch Ba is still a bitterly cold experience at sunrise with touches of frost covering the grasses but by this stage morning mists are common place and this adds greatly to the sense of atmosphere generated. This was taken just as the diluted orb of the sun peaked around a cleft in the mountains and the sky obligingly turned salmon pink.

Stunning colours and wonderful sharp details! :)

Beautiful image Ian, love the way you have resisted the temptation to go for complete sun but have gone for part of it just peeking over the hill - much more effective
