This wonderful ochre sandstone ledge has been shaped and eroded by the constant pounding of surf and rolled pebbles. I had noticed on previous occasions that the last light of the day tended to reflect in the worn hollows and dents in the bedrock so on this occasion I prepared the shot well in advance timing it a little before high tide so that the sea slapped against the rock creating the sheen I was looking for. Sunset was soft and gorgeous and I ended up very well satisfied with the final result.
