Achnahaird Honey

Achnahaird Bay, Inverpolly, Scotland

A glorious sunrise with scarlet clouds quickly clearing and thence giving way to some incredible honey drenched light scything its way across the mountain skyline of the Inverpolly reserve and the distinctive mountains of Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mor, Cul Beag and Ben Mor Coigach. In situations like this you have a narrow window of opportunity because as soon as that intense light touches your own position flare results and the show is to all intents and purposes over.

Very beautiful sunset shot. Excellent composition. Love that dark mass of stones in the foreground. Vote.
