I have always struggled to find a satisfactory composition for this beautiful tree near the railway line at Loch Achanalt and I doubt a close approach is possible at any other time of year without very long wellington boots but here the ground had frozen solid permitting access to an ideal spot where all feels balanced. The beautiful caramel light reflected into the deepest shadows providing me with a wonderful contrast between sunlit frost and blue ice.
New!! Photographic workshops and Masterclasses appearing soon at TRANSIENT LIGHT.
