Someone has commented on my photos: 'All he did was walk around photographing things in his life with no concern for being a photographer.' (How amazingly accurate! I'm doing all these for pleasure!) 'He is looking to observe existence, with some wit, and a light touch... ' Said another. (I wish I can always have the wit and maintain an appropriately light touch.) Both comments are true and explain why I have never been interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs.... but maybe what impacts me most and gives me the strongest drive all these years is the following quote:

'Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.' Henri Cartier Bresson

I won't be able to come up with something extraordinary and dramatic everytime, but if I can utilize my limited spare time to record the scapes of my place of my time in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
