Wow, jij hebt een hoop van mijn helden live gezien en zelfs kunnen fotograferen. Hier benijd ik je toch wel een klein beetje voor Hans. Bedankt voor het posten van dit materiaal. Vooral het oude materiaal van de Sex Pistols vind ik fantastisch.

Maar jij hebt gewoon de Sex Pistols gezien! En mooi gecovered. Mooie foto's, Hans, en inderdaad, vroeger was het fotograferen bij concerten veel leuker. Ik werk zelf als technicus, en heb in die zin een streepje voor. Overigens, bij Kane doet men er niet moeilijk over. en er zijn er heus nog wel een paar die inzien dat mooie foto's ook waardevol kunnen zijn voor het promoten van hun band. Ik kan me herinneren dat er eind jaren 70, en de jaren 80 enorm veel foto's te koop geboden werden in advertenties. En we hebben hier in Nederland wel te maken met promotors als Mojo, die maar wat graag een stokje voor steken daar waar ze zelf geen financieel gewin kunnen halen. Jammer, maar helaas.

Heerlijke gallery, complimenten. En ook helemaal waar wat je zegt over de beperkingen bij concerten. Laatst op North Sea Jazz maakte ik het ook weer mee bij Chaka Kahn. Na 3 foto's werd ik erg aggresief benaderd door de bewaking en het management. Chaka zelf vond het allemaal niet erg en was achteraf blij met de foto's

Hans: I like your concert shots. Some really good memories in there. If you dig through my portfolios here on Pbase (go to my last page ) you'll find my concert shots from the last few years. I tend to just bring the camera along and shoot unless I'm challenged by security. Usually there isn't an issue at least here in San Diego at the smaller venues. Regards, - Dan
