hi, i have jus cum bk frm pakistan and i do miss it a little but i was there for a long time and i went all over pakistan lahore, islamabad, muree etc... It is actually very beautiful and amazing. We dont actually live in pakistan but in azad kashmir, because of that going anywhere was a problem 5-6 hours just to get to islamabad!!! so we made a lot of stops in mirpur and mega mart was quite amazing for mirpur.

salamz Mega Mart is so MEGA expensive!!! i remember back in 2005 they were charging 90rps for a pack of Maryland cookies and i was like WATEVERR, u can buy a pack of 3 for that price in the UK, they realy no how to rip people off in some places!!! but mashalah they got a nice restaurant upstairs and its generally a nice lil shooping plaza, just watchout for some RIP OFF prices! wasalamz

I think you are mistaken big time. The fast food place around the corner is owned and run by these people as well. Their speciality is chicken & chips. I went there and asked for 2 peices chicken & chips. They gave me 3 wings and chips. I asked what was going on and they said they did not have any chicken. Anyway I tried eating the wings and chips with great difficulty - they were rock hard and devoid of any taste. What a waste of Rs90 that was. Inside I asked for falooda which was being advertised; they didn't have any; I asked fo rasmalai which was being advertised - they didnt have that either. My advice check out proper food (curry) in other traditional places in Mirpur. Stay away from this place for food.

Hi I recently visited Mirpur and found it to be okay but Mega Mart is a complete bag of crap. It's no different to any other supermarket that you find in Engalnd. People who think that its awesome need to get their heads checked out because it's a complete rip off. Went in once and came straight back out in 30 seconds. Only fools shop there

I went 2 pakistan last year and the year b4!! lolz I go quite often and i used 2 shop at mega mart regularly (lyk every single day!!) and sumtymz lyk 3 tymz a day n i also used to go to Azad mini mart, where theres restaurantz!! the pizzas were well fit lmao, i still rememba th day wen ma whole family went there 2 eat out!! we had th place 2 ourselves!! lolz Anyway i miss it loadz n hope 2 go bk very soon Inshallah as im missin Mirpur, Ma mummy (lol) n ma 2 lil bro's, Shazad n Shiraz!! hope u guys r avin a gd tym there!! luv ya all loadz btw gr8 syt, kp it up yh ma salaam.... Went to Mirur in mid July 2006 and returned mid September 2006. It's my first time and I absolutely hated it. I can understand it when people go to vivit for a holiday (maximum 3 week stay) but God forbid we get kicked out of England and are forced to reside there. It's ok for men but unimaginable for women where there is resticiton on freedom as well as disrespect. Maga mart was cool but the prices were ridiculous. Would not voluntarily go to Pakistan again. Ever.

Mirpuir is a great city to have near us, the roads do need improving but it still great, many cars on the roads, i dont live in Mirpuir i live near Jatalan, In Gurah Awan, Where and the big houses are we had a minah there 150 foot, which did fall int he earthquake, but inshallah we will make one again, I big it up to all the BRISTOL crew that live there, and My Tiyah Asiaq who made are village look like a Kingdom. Mega Mart Is wicked love it there they now do Shesha, just got back a Month ago, want to go back in march, all those who dont go your missing out on your des.

Salaam to all Mirpuris, I am Wasim from Manchester. I come from Mirpur and visit once a year and spend most of my annual holidays up there. Mirpu has changed a lot in last 5 years and is getting better and better. I am proud to be a Mirpuri and hope that Azad Kashmir government also would do its part to develop Mirpur. So far most development has been due to us British Mirpuris. Roads and Traffic is a bit better although we have a long wat to go yet. We need our Police force to get better.

SALAM..... I JUST GOT BACK FROM MIRPUR. COME FROM NATHIA TOWN (NEW BANDRAL)WENT AFTER 12 YEARS AND FOUND THE CITY HAD BEEN COMPLETLY TRANSFORMED. SHOPPING PLAZAS HAVE POPPED UP EVERYWHERE. NO OTHER CITY HAS SEEN SO MUCH REDEVELOPMENT. I COULDNT BELIEVE HOW MANY BRITSH PAKISTANIS I SAW THERE, THEY WERE EVERYWHERE, FLASHING THEIR CASH AND SPENDING AS IF THERES GONNA BE NO TOMORROW!!!! GO TO SHAREEFAA'S CLOTHES SHOP AND EXPERIENCE IT. THEY PAY WITH POUNDS, NOT RUPEES. I SUPPOSE THATS WHY THERE HAS BEEN SO MANY CHANGES TO THE PLACE. SO MANY POUNDS GO THERE. LONG LIVE MIRPUR AND MIRPURIS.

Hi, I'd just like to say I went to Pakistan twice last year after 21 years and I really loved it. We went to Mirpur every day and really enjoyed going to Azad Mega Mart- it was fab! The restuarant on the top floor was great and the not to mention cool, in every sense of the word. Cant wait to go back!
