Juvenile Wolf Eel

This color phase is seen only when the Wolf Eel is very young. There does not seem to be a precise age range in the literature for the various color phases, but this is the color they become when they first settle down to a bottom dwelling existence after their free floating infancy. I have not seen this color phase before.
