This is a view of the old Mountain House Hotel, now a state park, which sits on top of the Mt. Holyoke overlooking Northampton, Hadley, and Amherst, with views as far as mountaintops in Vermont and New Hampshire. This was shot from the valley floor below, probably 900-1000 feet lower and at least twice that far to the West of the hotel....so probably about 1/2 mile in total distance.
