Of Eddie's most favorite of his own photographs is this one. It shows the difficult struggle of Vietnamese Boat people resulting from the war. He called it, 'The Boat of No Smiles'. After the story was published, the U.S. State Department asked the Associated Press for the pictures and presented them to Congress. The pictures swayed the decision of President Jimmy Carter allowing 200,000 refugees to come to America. As Adams says, you "never ..know how your pictures are going to effect other people's lives."
