I am an independent writer-photographer with more than 25 years experience.
Currently, I am preparing a body of work titled "AGNOSCO - Spirits Among Us" for an exhibition in Kamakura, Japan, at the Kirara Gallery Dec. 9 - 15, 2014.

I am a graduate of the Syracuse University Photojournalism Program (2000). I am based in Kanagawa Japan, although I am frequently in Thailand printing and producing work for future exhibitions.
I will publish my first photography book in the coming year, titled "Shot by a Marine" a photographic recollection of 18 years serving as a combat correspondent in the U.S. Marine Corps. Photography awards include the Lou Lowery Award (1993) for photographs produced during the Los Angeles riots in 1992, where I was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment based in Compton, California. I am a multiple recipient of the Thomas Jefferson Award (1992, 2004), as well as Distinguished Performance Award (1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004). Assignments and works outside America include: Mexico, Hawaii, Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Micronesia, Guam, Australia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Viet Nam.
Future exhibitions include a cell-phone photography project and a presentation of photos taken in 2013 of ancient Egyptian tomb ruins in Kariong, Ugari (Australia).
Past exhibitions include: Laila Ali (1999 - New York), My Visual Opinion (2002 - Okinawa), Mission to Micronesia (2003 - Okinawa), Aqua Angels (2005 - San Diego), Houston Center for Photography (2009 - Texas). AGNOSCO (Rotation-I) Kurihara Gallery (2014 Tokyo).
Future plans include continued research into ancient human languages.
