Great shot Herb.
Dave Wyman02-Mar-2006 16:40
I haven't visited your galleries in a while - I see I missed some terrific pictures.
Guest 02-Mar-2006 07:40
Worth waiting for this stunning image. You're lucky the Pelican fly along that quick, otherwise the sun would already perhaps not there anymore. Lovely sunset plus with that nice flying pelican. The golden glow of water too on the foreground is absolutely beautiful. Gets my vote.
Greg Harp01-Mar-2006 05:32
Nice!
Laryl01-Mar-2006 05:23
wtg.. love a guy with patience :)
Karen Leaf01-Mar-2006 03:05
wow and right along the horizon line. And to have 2 little ducks too. Perfect positioning. That sun couldn't get much bigger.
Peter Stahl28-Feb-2006 23:26
Timing is everything. Well done Herbert.

ewa toll28-Feb-2006 12:24
gorgeous shot
tembapix28-Feb-2006 12:19
No chance of that here, I'm afraid. Used to be a time when you might, if you were really lucky, get a flamingo, but even those seem to have deserted these shores now. Still, there's always the gulls!
Valeska28-Feb-2006 12:17
Much better weather overthere. Glad you waith so long
Karen Stuebing28-Feb-2006 11:54

Excellent colors and silohuettes in this sunset shot. Wonder if you could see the elusive green flash (http://www.isc.tamu.edu/~astro/research/sandiego.html )
GMV.
Bryan Ramsay28-Feb-2006 05:43
You got me there, not to many pelicans here in MD right now. I learned your seagull lesson well;) This is very nice. -BJ

Resplendent image !!
petesie27-Feb-2006 23:24
First you have to have an ocean, then the right amount of clouds, then a beautiful sinking sun.....then you have to be there at the right moment and a pelican must fly by. You did all the above and it is awesome. So I voted.
Guest 27-Feb-2006 23:11
Nice capture, depends on where you live!
Ron S. Bernardo27-Feb-2006 22:58

WoW! That is a fantastic sunset!
Eckhart Derschmidt27-Feb-2006 22:29
Almost too much ;-), but beautiful indeed! As a sunset usally takes only a few minutes (at leaset the last phase), there must be quite a number of pelikans around...
Guest 27-Feb-2006 22:26
