Joop's Dog Log - Sunday May 16

It`s official now: Dutch humans sleep longer!
Ikea has presented a bedroom-survey that was done by Gallup in 27 countries around the globe.
An avagage Dutch human sleeps 7 hours and 32 minutes each night.
That puts the Dutch on top of the list. The world avage is 7 hours and 6 minutes.
In Malaysia humans sleep only 6 hours and 36 minutes.
So Dutch dogs have to wait for their breakfast almost an hour longer than Malaysian dogs.
I`m not suprised.
Time and time again I`ve tried to tell my humans they should get up earlier,
but they just won`t listen...

Oh, I love to sleep. The Netherlands is the right place for ME! ;-) :-) You look handsome again, Joop! And it looks nice and sunny there! Hugs and cookies...

Any of these guys figure out how much sleep dogs get, Joop? I am willing to bet it`s more than the humans in the house. Read somewhere that cats sleep an average of 16 hours a day. Are dogs such great super snoozers, Joop? May your dreams be sweet and your cookies be crunchy, my friend, and sleep well.

But the advantage is that you can sleep longer too Joop. Did you ever think of that?
Oh, and tonight I slept 8 hours and 30 minutes. ;o) Wouldn`t it be terrible if I was your human? You`d have to wait even longer for breakfast!

well you see, joop, the world gets so confusing for us humans with our over-active brains - more sleep is sometimes the only answer. (in fact, for some of us sleep is the most satisfying time of the day.) (and .. thanks for your advice ... but it might have to wait until i can keep a houseplant alive, let alone a dog. someday, maybe. too many excuses for now.)

Moin Joop! We bet that our humans broke the sleeping record of the Dutch today...but you know..old bones need a longer recreation phase...now the real holiday can begin and sleeping is a very important part of good holidays our bosslady says!

I`m up late (playing with fotolog usually) so I need to sleep late. My oldest Bouvier wakes shortly after 7am & barks and whines till I get up & feed her & the other two quiet) dogs. Sleep deprivation sucks.

I think humans need to sleep more! Maybe they would be happier and stop fighting each other!

Joop, you must be patient with we mere mortals! Do you know what "Ikea" means in Swedish? "Ikea" -- Swedish for "Out of stock"!
