Joop's Dog Log - Thursday Apr 15

Finally!
Flint, Max, Ann and Giori all predicted it, and they were right.
The new black horse on our block has finally given up his pride and come over to whisper to me.
Took him four weeks.
And if it hadn`t been for that nice brown horse we`d probably still be ignoring each other.
What is it with black horses?
Ah, the Spring weather feels so good, this is the best time of the year.
I even heard my human whistle a tune when we were walking.
He`s been grumpy for days.
But the nice warm sunshine and the blue skies make everything look so much better.
We all needed this.
Cookie time!

Like, even a black horse could resist yr charms? I don`t think so! Why, yr intelligence alone is enough to act as a real magnet. Just no doubt, Joop, you got it!!

Good for you that you finally have a blue sky. On this part of the planet started to rain. And it will be raining for seven days and seven nights!

Moin Joop, is this really his name? Blacky???? Are you sure that he isn`t an import from Güster? We do have a Blacky-horse too...have you ever tasted a tiny little bit of their apples...???Delicious...and so good for the stomach, believe us! But, didn`t we say the last time that it must be a kind of reincarnation of our human`s best TV-friend Fury??? Maybe our humans can work a little faster to get more of this springs-stuff...it`s nice to be a doooooooog!!

This view cheers me up, too, Joop! You look like you`re talking to us -- well, through your mouth, that is, not just through your thoughts. :) Glad you made a new friend!

I knew he`d love you. Everyone does! I`m so glad the weather is warming up, so maybe Henk will feel less of the weight of the world on his shoulders for a few days. Maybe you should give HIM a cookie, now and then.

Yay, Joop! You`ve proven once again why you should be Kerry`s running mate -- you`re a great diplomat who can get everyone to the table ... or fence, as the case may be. And now that you and the black horse have met, with the gracious assistance from the brown horse, I`m sure you`ll be great friends. Treats for everyone!

I think you should give up all political aspirations...Kerry`s running mate (he`s not that, shall we say, charasmatic) and become a horse veterinarian. Wouldn`t that be fun!!! You have such a way with horses, that`s obvious. And look at you here, just so pleased to tell us about your conversation with Blacky. I`m wondering what he whispered to you...you look pleased as punch. Have a great day, Joop, and keep your human whistling.

Tell your human that his perspective on so many of his photos is wonderfully `real`...just like we`re there with you.

I remember your previous posting about this horse Joop, he really is stunning, I would be thrilled if he came to talk to me too. Perhaps it is more shyness than pride that stopped him?

Nice photo, Joop! Glad he finally came around. He is really quite lovely and looks very nice by you. I am glad the brown horse was able to break the ice. The sun really does make everything seem better.

Joop, sweetheart....you are the luckiest doggie-person to live in such a terrific place where you can just walk down the road and whisper with horses!!
