Joop's Dog Log - Wednesday Jan 14

Rain, rain, more rain. Rain pounding the window. Little rivers of rain water in the streets.
Mud in the park. Impossible to go into the fields. Stormy wind outside.
So I’m sitting here, trying to get dry after a short walk, close to the heater,
next to my human’s desk where he just keeps click-clacking on his computer,
both of us waiting for a change in the weather.
I don’t like this one bit.

Sometimes we need rain, Joop, to appreciate the sunshine.

aww Joop, I know how you feel
we had sunshine today for about the 10th time in the last 90 days
I know you can understand how that is ;-)

Poor Joop, cooped up inside; but just think, without the rain you wouldn`t have all those wonderful forests to run around in & explore! No place for the squirrels & rabbits & deer to hide & taunt you :)

Sleep a while, Joop. I know you dogs can sleep all day and night long :) And if you will open your eyes again - maybe the sun tries to appear from behind the clouds...

PS: A wonderful basket you have!

Yes, that window does look a bit wet! At least you have a comfortable bed. I`m hoping, however, that you can play outside again soon!

Sorry it`s depressing weather there, shall I send you a video to watch? Do you like action films or food movies or, ahem,.....?

Ow Joop! It`s raining everyday in my town too! I hide myself and watch my "brother" Pivete who likes to stay out and gets completely wet!

It is rough, isn`t it, when it just keep raining. I mean you get all stiff from not getting enough exercise, and you tend to get grumpy too. At least I do! We had some sun this morning, but it didn`t last very long. And indeed, the weather dudes are predicting more rain for us. The dogs that own me are complaining too, Joop. They want to get out and run and run and run, and not have to puddle hop. I gave them a special bone tonight, just to take their mind off their boredom. It helped. Maybe you could wait `til yr human has gone to bed, turn on his computer and leave him a wee note? Or hey, have you surfed the net? Or checked out email lists? There are poodle parties and chihuahua clubs and I just bet there`s something for fox terriers! Think about it, dude. The mere push of a paw, and the world is yours!

Well, at least you have that sporty looking leopard print bed to wait in. It is so unusual to see you indoors, Joop! I hope the rain doesnt make a prisoner of you for too long.

Today we had a little bit of snow and the power was out in a lot of places. We like the snow, so we were happy! We only wish it had snowed a lot so mommy could stay home from work.
BTW, we love your bed! Looks so comfy!

Yes, Joop! I know what you mean... Not only is raining outside but our humans friends have this weird habit of sitting in front some sort of colourfull square clicking whatever... I don`t get it...I hate computers and tv but...
Anyway I loved your bed! You look like a sculpture on this one! Good one!!

Rain is miserable Joop, but it`s part of nature, so it`s not all bad. Looks like you picked the perfect spot for a nap, now lay down and snooze, and maybe when you wake up the sun will be out?

Joop are you getting the rain the Basenji`s are so worried about. We wouldn`t mind some rain here...its horrible cold. I had to drag my blankie over to the heater. I would like a bed like you have.

You kust admit, though Joop, it does make being indoors a bit more tolerable to have a storm raging and be nestled in your own fine bed. Hmmm?

I had duel citizenship till i was 21 yrs old then i had to pick a country. Germany will always be my mother country though. I dont think there is a prettier place in Europe than Germany. I have the most fond memories of that place. I especially remember the old fashioned candy stores. When we moved back to the states there werent any of those here and Santa Claus looked funny. I was used to the German santa.

Looks to me like you want to watch TV, but doesn`t look like it`s on. Ask you human to stop his click-clacking for a minute and find you a good program.

Oh, Joop, rain does get so tiresome. I hope it stops soon so you can get outside. In the meantime, your bed looks so comfy. Maybe you could curl up there and watch a good movie (my favorite is 101 Damatians). Here`s hoping for a sunny day tomorrow!

Hello, Joop! It is very wet here, also. I hope it did not take you long to dry off. It was so windy here this evening that I thought Max was going to fly away! I think he is going to have to wear weights to go outside!

I love it when it rains here, sometimes i get to sneak out in the rain and run in the water. You should try it! My human gets mad at me because i get all wet and dirty, but she knows i love it!
