Domäne Bill is a popular café and restaurant on the westside of the island, in the 'Bill-Polder'.
It was expanded and remodeled in 2011. The restaurant is famous for its herring ('matjes') dishes.
There's also a working farm with pastures right behind the dunes.
Bill used to be an estate with a small village and a church. In 1651 it got temporarily separated
from the rest of Juist bij a flood. And in 1717 the big 'Weihnachtsflut' (Christmas flood) destroyed
9 of the 18 houses in the village and the church, 28 people drowned.
That was the end of Bill village. The survivors of the flood moved to Loog village.
