Cardinal close-up

Westerville, Ohio

A female Northern Cardinal rests on a limb in Blendon Woods Metro Park near Columbus, Ohio.
The Cardinal landed on the limb less then 10 feet from where I was standing, or about the minimum
focusing distance for the lens I was using. This image is cropped horizontally, but is full frame
vertically. Additional Cardinal images are below and in my Animals gallery.

Thanks for your comment on my picture of the same bird [http://www.pbase.com/ocean7/image/54079316 ]. This image is amazing, almost too close I would say! You should move this to your macro section! :) All the best.

You capture her well, Look at the beak damage, wow thats amazing. question it the weather channel shows rain, its must be cold before or after, she is as fluffed out as I have seen.
