Well, they are still going to put in a white glass tile back splash on the length of the left wall, and I am having another ceiling fan installed later this month and am putting a bookcase in for cookbooks on the right wall, but for all intents and purposes, it's done, after two months, and I was able to cook my first meal in it on Wednesday. I have a step stool hidden away because I need it to reach almost everything in the upper cabinets. All in all, the contractor did an excellent job, managing to not only give me a new kitchen but also to preserve our powder room (albeit very tiny now) and install a staircase to the basement, something that all other contractors said was impossible (or just too much work to do).
