It was getting pretty hot and humid out on the ponds, and Queenie was definitely unhappy, so we wrapped up our visit and went home. I’d love to go back in the morning, but now the festival is going on so there will be huge crowds to contend with, plus nearby parking will be impossible. Maybe next year!
*****
We used to visit the gardens every July for the Lotus and Water Lily Festival but didn't make it last year, so we decided to take advantage of the July 4 holiday and toured the park with Queenie. We were a bit early for full bloom, but still, an enjoyable time was had by all.
