She has ears!

They always seem to be down, except when there’s a chance of getting something to eat. This was taken at the entrance to our kitchen.

I learned today that Queenie absolutely hates garbage trucks, when she went crazy barking at one driving down our street. The trash collector hanging off the side of the truck looked amazed at the racket directed at him. And one other thing I discovered today: Although she spends all day lounging on our carpets and never gets on the furniture, it isn’t that way at night. Last night when I came back downstairs to get my phone, Queenie was relaxing on our couch. I tried to take a picture but am not sure it came out since it was dark in the living room. I must admit I thought it was pretty funny.

NOTE: In response to a private comment, that's the shelter's phone number on her tag, not ours!

She does seem like quite a character. I think all rescue dogs come with quirks that are remnants of their prior lives and many are hard to explain. Our last dog before emma, Cosmo, went crazy if men with hats came into our house or when he saw them. ~BV~

She is a bit plump, but she has a very pretty face.

In her mind the garbage truck is stealing your best smelling stuff. She is just looking out for you.

Pretty girl. It looks like she's going to be a keeper. She must have had people who treated her well before you got her. So she should be a great house pet.

She looks very confident and seems not shy in front of your camera :) V.

Queenie has won the lottery with her new care givers.

Smart girl, knows to stay on the floor when people are around. It's going to be hard to get her to lose weight if she loves food so much! Just tiny treats. V

She sure looks keen on the chance there might be snacks. It is interesting to learn the ins and outs of her personality.

Looks like Queenie is settling in well; she looks relaxed and happy ... and eager for some tucker.

She has a lovely smile. We " adopted two older Shepherds at different times, one 11 years, another 8, both were delightful and adopted us also.
