Bon voyage to Geneva

One last picture from Geneva, some kind of police boat, Tim said.

In addition to his flight from Dulles to Frankfurt being delayed by five hours, as I mentioned before, his return flight to Montreal was also delayed for several hours, then couldn’t land due to thunderstorms so went to Ottawa instead. They wouldn’t let the passengers who were actually bound for Ottawa off the plane, and flew back to Montreal after the storm had passed. He missed his connecting flight to Washington, couldn’t find his luggage until like 3 in the morning so had to spend the night at a hotel in Montreal (when he was finally able to find one that had a vacancy), returning here the next day.

Small wonder he’s not looking forward to another trip!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

Not-so-mellow yellow, posted earlier:

What an ordeal! Hopefully Tim has some time to relax and get that out of his system before the next excursion.

An example of why some businesses chose to have their own airplane. Nice shot of this beautiful lake.

Pretty view of the lake. A nightmare travel experience. Seems quite common at the moment.

that's a lot of lake....airports are nodes of congestion these days, and people are also camping at passport offices for up to 4 days...good year for a staycation, or at least a trip that does not involve flying abroad....

I can imagine he was more than happy to get home after that gruelling trip.

Lovely tranquil scene, in contrast to Tim's extraordinarily complicated journey! No wonder another trip doesn't fill him with joy. I've heard this seems to be the way of things at present at airports. V

What an ordeal! I would want to stay home. The view here is so pretty. Nice with the greenery in the foreground. V

Bad time to find a hotel in Montreal, it's was Father's Day, and also, the weekend for the F1 Races
