Garage mural

We saw this garage mural in the North Capitol Street area. Not sure what it signifies, but it did brighten up an otherwise nondescript alley. I was also impressed to see the solar heating panels on the roof in a part of town I wouldn’t have expected it. NOTE: I checked this out a bit more, and the mural was created by a recognized artist named Jah One who even executed a mural for the DC Statehood series. I agree it does look like tagging, but in this case I think it's just his style of art!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

I like how it seems to be bursting out of the door. Great colors too.

Looks very professional to me - I really like it - cool how hearts pop out here and there. V

Many muralists got their start as taggers. More power to them when they graduate it to an artform.

I like how it looks like the text is busting through the garage door.

It is a striking standout in an otherwise muted spot. Well photographed. V

I'm not a huge fan of tagging in general. Some, like this, are more artistic, but in general they tend to be a blight on the society. When we were in Athens several years ago it was horrible and the government didn't have funds to remove them. This is artistic and well seen. V

These "tags" are allover the cities around the world. It's all about the design and performancr of these beautiful letters.
