Bird-jam at the feeder

This has to be the most popular bird feeder in our neighborhood – the sparrows just go crazy over it and quickly devour all the seed left for them. Taken during a walk with Sahraa while she pouted about me interrupting it for a picture.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

quite the crowded feeder, I seldom got sparrows in our feeders.
A great shot of this group.

I just bought a mix of hulled seed, fruit and nuts and have found that while not have the seed hull mess to constantly clean up, the visits to the feeder have gone down tremendously and the food is staying longer in the feeder. While this mix is way more expensive than buying a 40 lb. bag of black oil sunflower seed, I will suck up the expense because it will be nice not to have a mess by my front door and on the deck!

That's a huge feeder! Looks like the birds enjoy their seed selection. V
