Spreading its wings

There was an adult mockingbird flying all over the main courtyard, but Tim managed to find this young-looking one in a side garden.

We went to the Franciscan Monastery far up in Northeast DC to look for butterflies, but all we found were bees, mockingbirds, one skipper and a wedding party. I was afraid it might be too early for butterflies there, but it was a good excuse to enjoy their beautiful grounds in any case.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
