“Welcome Joe & Kamala’

With all the heavy security that suddenly appeared, I’m sure I couldn’t even get close to this fence now. A huge number of major streets are also closed, making getting anywhere almost impossible.

*****

We went down to the Capitol today because I wanted a picture of it through the huge fence that's been erected all around it. I did get a few of those on drive-by, but then we decided to park the car and see what was going on there because the road in front of it was literally packed with police officers and vehicles. It turned out that the Capitol Police were there in force to attend the funeral procession of USCP Officer Brian Sicknick, who died of injuries sustained during the seditious attack on the US Capitol on January 6 after he was reportedly hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. His death was a tragedy, and I'm glad we were there to pay our respects as his hearse passed by.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

They need a great Welcome to encourage them. The "job" will not be easy with the dramatical pandemic rising everyday and the political and social situations...V.
