This DC landmark, an essential part of the U Street community since 1958, hosts a spectacular mural that runs the length of the entire building and celebrates famous Black Americans. There were tables under huge umbrellas at the street end of the alley, so this small part of the mural was all I could get at the time. I’ll have to go back when there isn't a crowd having dinner there.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.
